Want to be a Trend Setter in 2023?

Tracey and the team at Smart Interiors have put together the go to list to help you set the trend for 2023……

Trend 1: Green with Envy

Make your friends green with envy by using gorgeous green tones throughout your home. Inspired by nature you will be bringing the outside into your home and benefiting from the holistic and calming tones. Why not try vibrant teal, olive green or emerald green to elevate your décor?

Trend 2: Go Blue

All shades of blue can be used throughout the home, from beautiful azure blue to deep ocean navy, helping to create a sense of calm and positivity. Light blues can open up rooms, creating a sense of light and space whilst darker navy and inky blues create that cocooning atmosphere.

Trend 3: Pure White

Welcome the white wave…. the ultimate neutral. From clean and cool whites to cosy and warmer creams and off whites, they offer much needed simplicity and quietness to any interior. They create rooms for rest and reflection. Team with blue for that pop of colour whilst keeping the aesthetic crisp and clean.

Trend 4: Pretty in pastel

Think sugared almonds, strawberry pinks, mint greens and sherbet oranges. Create the perfect whimsical spaces by using these refreshing tones. Refreshing and celebratory, they’re perfect for creating whimsical spaces. Dare to be different!

Trend 5: Sassy and Sustainable

Sustainable style is such a big trend this year and rightly so. Why not do your bit for the planet by using water-based paint , furniture made from materials such as reclaimed woods or recycled glass, and by upcycling vintage finds. Make that positive change!

Trend 6: A room to feel good in……

Wellness rooms e.g. Home gyms or yoga rooms are very popular, helping you to chill in your own home. Wellness is at the forefront of everyone’s minds. Mid orange or melon pink will help to enhance your mood. A feature wall in a patterned print will bring engagement into the space.

Trend 7: loud and Proud

Décor is set to follow hot on the heels of the dopamine dressing trend. As electric colours and no-holds-barred hues like peacock blue, bright berry shades and deep sapphire, teamed with gold accessories for that touch of glamour and luxury.

Trend 8: Unexpected Spaces

More of us are getting creative in the most unexpected corners of our homes, from boot rooms to bars or even garden offices. Big ideas deserve standout colour schemes. So don’t hide your gaming room away – make it pop in a statement shade such as bright yellow or acidic green.
